My favorite song of all time is by Sara Evans and its called No Place That Far. This will always be my top favorite song of all time and always will be because it speaks directly to my soul.

The reason why this song touches me so much is because I could have written it myself. I am a birthmother who was given no choice but to place my beloved first born child up for adoption. This song from the first verse where it says I cant imagine any greater fear then waking up and your not here was my reality for 18 years not knowing if my baby was okay was being loved and cared for properly or even alive.The rest of the song tells about my search for my daughter as I always knew I would one day find her. I had made that promise to Jess the last time i saw her when she was just three months old. With most of the states in the USA having closed adoption laws I knew it wouldnt be a easy feat to find her but it is something I had to do for her and for me as well.
